Inert shells

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I work with kids, and try like guns (surprise surprise)

I'd like to offer as a reward for good behaviour a safe handling lesson with my semi auto. I thought can take the firing pin out, and use inert cartridges to be super safe, and I would ten allow them to practice loading and cycling cartridges and see how the gun works.

Here's the thing, I can't think of a safe way to remove the primer and charge from a cartridge. So I'd like to ask a favour from a reloaded out there.

Could someone 'reload' me half a dozen shells, with maybe used primers, some coloured (inert) powder, then wadding and shot, in clear cases?

This would all be to teach the children I work with, at a charity where we look after children from backgrounds of abuse and neglect. I would obviously send a few quid to cover postage.

Thanks for any help,

Pete
