picatinny rail moa

bit of help required chaps,if i put a picatinny rail with 25 moa on my anschutz 1417 to help with any zeroing problems i might have with a photon xt,will my dayscope ,a mtc genesis 5-20 x 50 still be ok on that rail,will i still have enough adjustment on the scope for zeroing,cant get my head around this at all

Scully, a picatiny rail with 20moa is basically a tapered rail to give you more or less height. Effectively enabling shooting at longer ranges with greater bullet drop. A standard rail is a parallel or flat rail that is just a mounting option. That's my understanding of it anyway.

Can you dial 25 MOA down on it from Zero?

 

If so then yes, it will work.

Not sure I understand the question. I have a picatinny rail on my rifle; it is merely a platform for securing other devices such as 'scopes etc, unless I've misunderstood.

 

sorry if the question was worded awkwardly,at the time couldnt get my head around what i was trying to do ,never mind get it worded correctly,lol
