Sambaker1993
Hey guys just got some new permission and it backs onto a massive lake /pond but that's someone else land so I can't feed the pond but what would be the best way to keep the duck there and don't make sure I over shoot ? Any tips because I obviously can't feed like I say or decoy ? Thanks guys
squirrelhall
Bit doddgy that mate. If the owner of the pond takes exeption to you shooting his pond and complains to your farmer you may loose your permision. Sambaker1993
The farmer is not bothered I have spoke to him and its united utilities treatment lake I think so aslong as I'm not shooting towards it in fine doing everything by the book , they can't stop me shooting what wild foul is in the sky over the permission surly
squirrelhall
Should be ok then. just thought if it was someone s pond they would be p##### of and your farmerwould n t be pleased. Not much you can do to attract duck without access. Wait for a good wind in the right direction, and hope they are using it
Sambaker1993
I'm sure they would get of the pond if I put a shell up ? And there is a local duck shoot not even half a mile away if I could find out what days they shoot I bet I would get Agee circling then ? SEshooter
Get yourself a spod rod and feed away
lakeside1000
spread some rotting potatoes and a good helping of wheat or barley seed around on the land you can shoot as near the lake front as possible, ducks feed at night and will flight out from the lake in the evening looking for feeding grounds, then back in again in the early dawn, so if you can get them to come in your direction, get there late afternoon or just before dawn to get birds in the air, dont forget its steel shot only for wildfowl regardless of where you shoot them. Blackpowder
Dont overshoot the place, once every three weeks is enough. Blackpowder
