rimfire4969
Having owned Berettas which I rated highly as a good fitting gun for myself that was until I tried a Caeser Guerini Maxum it was chalk and cheese. If I was looking to get another gun my first choice would be a CG without hesitation. Pound for pound I think you get a better gun.
Daveo26
Iv owned quite a few generic Italian guns, they all went bang when I pulled the trigger and I could shoot them ok. But they never felt particularly bulletproof or even that durable. Some had horrible pressed chequering! Yuk I had a Lincoln premier which looked nice but always (from new) made a weird tinny noise when I closed it iv noticed a lot of cheaper guns do this like a vibration through the stock Iv had berettas, a 682 super-sport which had fired 1000s and 1000s of cartridges but never missed a beat and a silver pig which I couldn't really get on with but both felt very well made, the older 682 more so I might add. As mentioned before miroku are superb value, and really feel like they will last a life time. But I don't like the floral engraving they have. For me Brownings are they way to go, built like tanks. Reliable and look good imho. Bought my 525 game gun s/h but unfired (long story) for less than a grand,
cpaulc
Used to own an older Beretta, lovely gun and solid. But I wanted to downsize to 20g sold it and bought a 'browning' medalist (fias).again this is solid too. - I came to the realisation that for 90% of my shooting I'm walking around, hopping fences etc so I dont mind if it gets dinged. - as long as it goes bang twice and fits me I'm happy. clanchief
For £1200 you will be able to get a new Silver Pigeon 1, just call a few dealers and ask for the best possible cash price on it, you may also get a nice Browning for similar money if you ask. I've had some good deals this year on new guns, but you need to call or go to the shop. Beretta dealers must advertise the full price, some get round it by selling new guns as demonstrators. I traded in a Silver Pigeon (400shots)that was unused and it had an adjustable comb fitted, it was on the shop rack for £1175, only for a day and gone.
