Beagle boy
Evening bought one of my dad's friend earlier this year. It's been great for me so far and it only cost me penny's to buy (£50) But I can't seem to find any information about this make of gun, I've read they are Italian but also that it's a German brand? Can anyone enlighten me about the maker of this gun Cheers rob
TDS
Made by Fias ( Fabbrica Italiana Armi Sabatti )in Italy.. Same gun as the Medallist marketed by Browning My son had one years ago...some very nice wood and unusual barrel length of 29" He did not keep it long as the ejectors would sometimes override the cartridge heads £50 is an absolute steal...probably worth around £
Westward
TDS is exactly right, they're like a grade 2 or 3 Medallist with nice woodwork and engine turned action. I had one about 14 years ago and shot about 6-7K shells without any problems. As with a Medallist it's worth inspecting the ejectors for cracks because if one lets go in the field the bits will disappear into the undergrowth. Paul T
I've just traded my Rottweil Supersport in against a new 20 bore - didn't look like a Medallist though to my knowledge. I've had it for 5 years and it's never let me down. TBH I don't shoot clays anymore so it was just sat in the cabinet - it was just to heavy to lug about on a game shoot all day. I'm sad to see it go, but you can't keep everything! As said, it is Italian made and very solid. IF I ever needed another 12 bore O/U I wouldn't discount them as a make. Beagle boy
It's been a great shotty for me to be honest and the wood is brilliant on it, good news for me them lads! I've just checked the ejectors and all looks fine to me but I may get it serviced and ask my gun smith mate to give it a once over. Thanks for the replies fellas Cheers rob
