jbk
Hi all, I am new to pigeon decoying and I'm looking for a bit of help, perhaps through some kind of Pigeon'ie 'mentor'. I have a fair bit of shooting of experience with over 20 years of shooting and I have done a few days decoying and roost shooting over the years (I'm 36yo FYI), but I've never learned proper decoying skill myself and would now like to do so. I've just bought myself hide gear and range of decoys but I don't currently have any permissions or anyone that can help me learn what i need to get into sport. I make a mean brew in the field, I cut a good sarnie and I'll do my best to provide good banter. I'm hoping to exchange these skills to join someone in the field, whilst they shoot and I do all the legwork, setting up with my gear under their instruction so that i can start to learn the skills I need to work towards becoming a proper Pigeon decoyer. I'm based in Hertfordshire (happy to travel wherever), I shoot a Silver Pigeon 1 20b (as well as a few other old sxs's in the cabinet), safely and competently, I'm a BASC member thus insured and have been SGC holder for 15 years. Should anyone fancy a bit of company, free labour and tea making, I'd love to join you. Thanks p.s. Here's my current stock of kit, more on it's way: Edited November 19, 2015 by jbk
