zipdog
Seems like these days there is a lot of out the box users. A little bit of fiddling and The xl is a very Handy little rifle I did quite a bit of fiddling with it and still wasn't to impressed. Then the spring broke so I fitted a gas ram which did improve it however then the stock cracked. On top of this the safety was temperamental, often preventing the gun from firing even when in the fire position.

Underdog
agrred had a lightning xl....my shotguns group better....... On the tactical xl type of silencer the big secret is to open the silencer end cap up as during the firing cycle it can catch the emerging pellet, especially 22 models. Open the transfer port a bees wisker. The trigger is easy to improve. If however one is not capable keep away.

NorfolkAYA
Whilst unemployed a few years back I sold alot of rabbit. This air gun was the main tool I used and was brilliant, once tuned some. What rifle was that underdog?
Underdog
BSA xl tactical. It was very good once I stoned the sears. Polished the cylinder and piston. Increased the clearance on the end of the silencer. No rabbits head was safe to 50yds!
