ShootingEgg
I have just changed dog food for my chap and he is now pushing out liquid plop... I was expecting it to be softer for a while due to the change, but not this wet.. Honestly i think the change over wasnt as gradual as it should have been, damn delivery times around xmas and me thinking i had more of the old food left than i did. How ling would you expect loose plop for in a change of food?? Thinking of putting him on bland diet to level him out then re introduce the kibble slowly. Thoughts? fenboy
How long has he been on the new food and what is it ? Some dogs do not take to particular foods however long they are on it but I would expect to see an improvement after 3-4 days if its suitable. Farma Geddon
Mix the two together , small quantity of the new stuff and gradually increase it. I have to say I never have a problem changing foods.
ShootingEgg
Farma i did this but basically delivery took longer than expected so the change was faster than i wanted. He has been on what ive put him back onto before so should be ok. Just dont like seeing him struggling then dropping smoothie plop

cocker boy
Feed him less than you are at the moment. Almost every case of runs I have seen have been caused by too much food.
ShootingEgg
Well took him to the vets this morning, as it got worse, to a point of being clear liquid rather than plop.... vet is happy that it's jist a tummy bug and gave mr pro kolin. Not feeding today, then onto bland diet for a few days.
