activeviii
Hole in head stock on the m7 is smaller than the boxford. Already looked at the M7.
kennym
Sorry for lathe reply, only just seen this. To answer your question. No. Varmint barrels are around 22+mm. Head stock bore is 20mm and between centres as about 22" looks like ill be looking for a colchester student then, I thought boxford did an inch & a quarter spindle hole. Sundodger
Biketestace Like you I used a ML7 and wanted a change. I stuck with the myford lathes and got a super 7 a great lathe and you can do screw cutting using the screw cutting gear box. But like people have mentioned it can be a bit dodgy buying second hand, unless you buy a second hand refurbished one from myfords, it might be worth having a look. snarepeg
Well. I finished up with a Myford 10, and happy with it. A 16 mm barrel would not quite go thru the headstock so fitted a boring bar and turned it out a tad and they do now Only useing for small types of work so it's adequate, have a Denford viceroy at the farm if I require anything larger.
