swedishshooter
hi red well as near as I can get them in I wondered if it was best to use a normal cartridge like 7 and a half or a bigger shot because of the lack of pattern. Its a blunderbuss I know, but its all I have access to.
dead-eye-dick
Swedish' Cyl is fine for pigeons, but size 7 shot is a must. It's the patten that kills not indiviual shot. Peter Theobold, one of the current day pigeon shooting legends, shoots (or used to if not still) shoots a perazzi cyl 1/4 and no7 and regularly kills pigeons to 35 yards. So a good quality GAME size 7 and bring the birds to within 30 yards you should be ok
dodeer
P/T still uses a Perrazi 30 inch sporter using Express competion 28g 71/2 plastic wads. He kills them cleanyl upto 45 yards , and he doesnt shoot them up there ***!
mister
hi lads I use CL & 1/4 and 6s , 7 ok but at close range tends to damage them a bit , all in all its a good compremise
NGhost
Cly works realy well over decoys, with a good clay cartridge of 7 1/2 will do the job.
