TIGHTCHOKE
Just to throw another point in to the mix. I feel that if a draft letter is compiled and offered that there should be two basic reasons; one for those awaiting a renewal and one for those awaiting an initial grant of a Shotgun Certificate. My reasoning is that someone who is suffering an unacceptable delay for a renewal has already been checked out and has proved themselves as trustworthy. Whilst an initial grant should involve more work on the part of the authorities. It should also address the reluctance of the licencing authorities to issue section 7 paperwork to allow existing SGC holders to legally hold their weapons and buy ammunition whilst awaiting what should be a straightforward renewal.
