islandgun
after the recent demise of my shogun, im looking at one of the above, any thoughts would be appreciated cheers IG
Tim Kelly
I had one until a couple of years ago and loved it. Hard to find one without monster mileage now. The cylinder head gaskets are a bit prone to blowing, but generally they are (were) a sound truck. I think I'd be wary of getting a 20 year old one now though as it's going to be pretty tired and will probably cost you money.

Thanks Tim, the one in question has 120k which seems less than 1/2 the average and full service history,
Tim Kelly
That is low. You might get lucky, but it's still a twenty year old car with expensive parts. It's a much better car than a Shogun, even at 20 years old though! Edited February 22, 2016 by Tim Kelly
islandgun
I thought it was quite recent it is compared to my shogun which recently had a sliding role in ice road truckers
motty
Not quite the same, but I have a 20 year old surf. Has been very reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to get another. I would say the landcruiser is fairly similar.
