steve_b_wales
Getting extra firearms on your licence depends on why you need them (good reason) and what experience you have with firearms. Different police forces make up their own rules to a certain extent. Getting a shotgun is easier than a rifle, unless you want more than a 3 shot. No it's not hard . You just need to have good reason . Rember that it may take a little longer for other variations because you are a new FAC holder and your licensing department will want be sure that you are responsible enough . steve_b_wales
Being in the armed forces doesn't make a difference to most police forces, unfortunately.
kyska
Being in the armed forces doesn't make a difference to most police forces, unfortunately. Not being obtuse, but I don't see why it should anyway, of course any experience with firearms is mitigating, but the reason and training our great military get with firearms is so far removed from a civilian scenario. I think the police should treat everyone the same.
