I'm not saying you have to tip but when they go that bit extra as I have said when they don't have to it is a perk of the job,you don't have to give them the same amount each but a £10-20 isn't out the way for a good job.but like I say you would sit back at tescos when they say do you want a hand with your packing and just let them would you ?

Some people pack things broken so they can get a claim in for free.and yes it does happen

i don't let them pack my bags at tesco - its a good service but only for people who need it - elderly people etc. Don't really see what that has got to do with removals firms - you are paying the best part of a grand for them to move your house.

and if they break something then you complain about it. i don't buy the theory that they are going over and above by being friendly and not breaking your stuff - its their job!!

Moving is a stressful time, if the the lads that are doing the hard work are courteous and you can have a laugh and a good craic with them, it makes the day go easy and destresses you then yes, give them a tip it is well worth it.

Every one says it's stressfull I've always been excited and I've moved about 8 times

My old boss used to say that you get your tip at the end of every week (your wages) and on the subject of teachers I have heard that if they don't get what they want they have told the government they will start work in protest.

Bigger the present more time they spend with that child
