roadkill
when i put my shotgun together for the first time yesterday i then pressed the trigger as i wanted to take the pressure off the springs . I have now read in the manual that you only press the trigger if you are using snap caps to stop you damaging the firing pins B) would i have done any damage just doing it the once
the last engineer
leave your triggers set, it wont hurt the gun at all, snap caps are for keeping doors open, paper on a desk, hitting someone on the head therefore getting ones attention, frightening birds in the garden, anything except putting in your gun, throw them away, im not encouraging it but dry firing a modern gun wont hurt your pins, i have dropped mine hundreds of times, never snapped one yet, then again i replace them regular anyway . bobby t
the idea is to take the pressure off the springs but in some mechaniosms it then tranfers this to the ejectors. weak ejectors or weak firing pins. i know which one i prefer.
