After a couple of years shooting clays I have just recently been approved for my first FAC - 18HMR and and 245. What I was wondering is what choke do you recommend for different quarry/bullets. So if I want to shoot Foxes followed by Deer what chokes should I be carrying so that I can swop between the two species using the same gun. winnie&bezza Posted April 1, 2016 Report Share Posted April 1, 2016 Well I've heard with those calibres, they don't have much effect on April deer and fox and it doesn't matter if you use 1/8 1/5 or improved hexagon.
