wokkywokky
More FAC application questions I'm afraid On my application for the ammunition do I need to specific the type of ammo (e.g. hollow point or something else) or is it enough to state just the calibre as .22lr and .17hmr? Paul223
No need to state hollow point or similar no, just .22lr .17hmr, you may want to include the word 'expanding' to save any hassle having the cert altered, but really should not be needed
kent
Your cert should have a section 5 note to allow expanding. Mark your application up accordingly as expanding not hollow point, just to ensure they can't charge you and make you wait if it's not on So a big yes
wokkywokky
Great thanks for that, will add expanding to both calibres. Edited May 4, 2016 by wokkywokky

wokkywokky
Is there anyway of amending an application once it has been submitted? Can it be discussed with the FEO during the interview and requested at that stage?

Paul223
Yeah it shouldn't be a problem, the only reason to include it on the form would be because the licensing department can sometimes be a little daft, and actually stating your requirement for expanding means it shouldn't be overlooked There wouldn't be a charge for adding it if for some reason it was omitted, just clerical error. All assuming your in for vermin not target!
