jangles
Hi Have used pigeon fud decoys that seem to work well, however not to convinced about the look of the crow fuds. Anyone else any experience withe crow fuds? And if so, did they do the trick? Cheers
Bobba
I have a set + 1 full bodied. I wasn't too convinced about the colouring of the fud's so painted them mat black blackboard paint ( didn't use car spray in case cellulose reacted badly). They work a treat. If pigeon shooting I put three fud's either side of the decoy pattern and they pull in crows at the same time.
Bluebarrels
I had a dozen crow and a dozen pigeon fuds, work as well as any other decoy if the birds are about. I sold mine on though,I didn't like the faff in setting them up and though it was too time consuming compared with standard decoys, but that's only my opinion,BB
jangles
Thanks for the info lads. Just tried 6 fuds along with 4 full bodied crows on a recently cut silage field and they seemed to pull them in ok. Just need to learn how to shoot bloody straight now 😀 Cheers
kenholland
make your own flat pack of 6 just cut and shape out of 3/8 ply or there abouts spray matt black works for me sorted.
jangles
Worth thinking about !
kaunda
Agreed; paint them matt black, and ammend the spike to be (a) longer (b) a more pratical shape, and © of lighter metal. On reflection easier to make them out of ply as proposed by KenHolland.
