Cannon
Wrong oil and filter lol. I swear these people must think the general public are absolutely thick. It must work for a percentage of the time orherwise they wouldn't try it on. Another case of a dealership trying to make extra money whilst almost inadvertently destroying the reputation of another garage.
Budice
You would have to used the wrong oil for quite a time to block the DPF, the right oil would be a 5W/30 Low Ash or Low SAPS oil. Using anything but Low Ash or SAPS would create more soot or ash which will block a DPF, they do not flow through like a CAT does, the monolith in a DPF has little tubes which are blocked at the end on every other one, the soot is trapped in this tube and the gas passes through the wall of it. Too much ash and the tub fills up and becomes blocked.

After all it's under warranty !!.

After all it's under warranty !!. It was serviced at a friends garage, then after a week or so the engine light came on so as he's a mate he said he would see what was wrong before I took it back to the main dealer..
