loriusgarrulus
We have 2 GDK cabinets. One for the shotguns and a taller deeper one for the air rifles with scope. Pleased with both. I have the keys on 2 sturdy split rings fastened onto a small stainless caribiner, so I can separate them easily to open the doors.
BrowningB525
Well, it turned up today. Dented at the top, and loosing a bit of paint at the back. Not a good start. At the moment it will only take a gun butt first due to the way the foam is laid out, and you cant keep the two keys on one key ring as you can't take the keys out when the door is open. Other than that it's great lol It's poor form keeping the keys together anyway.

So I got 4 keys now, should I keep them in different corners of the house? How about if I had 6, or 8?

Assuming you have 2 cabinets. Keep one from each together. It's not rochet science. It gives you thst bit of extra security. People on here over think cabinet security usually to the detriment of actual security. I keep one key badly hidden and one on my house keys. It doesn't get more secure than that. My house keys go everywhere with me so the keys are only together in my house when I am.

I keep my original pair of keys on my key ring with my car key. The second pair of keys now live inside that safe, so if I need to open safe no 2 I have to open safe no 1 first. Personally I think separating them completely is a bit silly, but whatever floats your boat I guess. On SD there's a thread about GDK warning of very poor service. I'm not surprised in the slightest John - trust you're ok by the way? Long time!

It's the most secure way to do it, and means that your keys aren't too bulky.

What, like having two keys on your key ring is complicated? Anyway, spoke to the company selling this thing, they have agreed to knock off £20 for the damage (that I don't care about in truth) so the safe cost me £40.99, which seems like good value to me.
