corno
After a lesson with the BASC at The Game Fair last week, they confirmed that my gun does not fit and apparently I have quite a long neck! So, can anyone recommend me a local gun fitter? On that note - I own a Beretta 682 Gold Sporting built in 1996. The stock is 13.75" with no pad on, and the coach estimated I will need another two inches on to lengthen it. Will adding a comb raiser and adjustable butt add or devalue this gun considering that it is now 20 years old? TIA.

You must be built like a gorilla if you need a 15 3/4" stock!!! 1" would take it to a standard fitting. The adjustable comb won't devalue the gun but you won't necessarily get back what you spend on having one fitted. Haha - I'm aware that 14.75 is the standard length, when I used his demo gun (which I assume was 14.75) he put on an extension on that, which was fully padded out and he reckoned I could've still do with more length on the stock! Hence the request for a gun fitter. Looking like Ian Coley in Gloucester at the moment
Brodie
Is it Frank Spencer's beret you've got?
corno
Is it Frank Spencer's beret you've got? Maybe.... only now have I spotted the title c*ck up. Whoops!
JohnfromUK
I'm sure Coley's will do a good job, but may be a bit costly; Nigel Teague used to do it I believe and was very well spoken of, but I don't know if they still do it? Not sure if South Worcester Shooting Ground or Park Farm would do it locally to you?
