Eley 410 3 inch rolled end cartridges

I've got a 410 mossberg pump hushpower and used loads off different cartridges mostly 3 inch magnum all have had the 5 star crimped endo all good. Bought a slab of eley 410 3 inch magnum these have a rolled end with a white paper discusses holding shot in load one in shoot it slide locked solid unable to pump the gun you have to loosen the nut on the barrel and forcefully pull barrel off and the cartridge welded in barrel have to use pointed mole grips to remove and the end all melted! Got onto eley which changed them for a different batch first cartridge I tried from new lot did exactly same got back on to eley they say you carnt use roll ended 3 inch magnum in a mossberg that's chambered for 3 inch couldn't believe hearing that and have replaced them with 4 long ones now as they say all new 410 eleys going to be rolled ends even the subsonic what's the point of that if they weld them self's in barrel went back to fiocci 3 inch 5 star crimp guns faultless. Anybody had this trouble with 3 inch rolled ended eleys? Barrel spotless so it's not down to fouling in barrel

I haven't and I used rolled frims by eley and fiocchi but eley did have a problem last year with there cases melting or blowing part of the accings off down the barrels causing blockeges

All xtralong 3 inch used to be rolled and never had a problem, but thought eley had moved on and crimped was the way forward.

The women I've been dealing with at eley say all there 410 cartridges are going to be rolled ends made now they say they've herd of a fuw cases same as mine but still going with rolled ends

i have never seen an 3in eley 410,with crimp as far as i know theyve allways been rolled in fact all sizes were rolled ends from eley.

I've put 3 boxes of eley 3 inch subsonics thought it they had the 5 star crimp end with no problems until I tried a 3 inch roll ended cartridge though it

Straight out the boxes, Xtralong No7 and Xtralong Subsonic No6 both from 2015 batches

That type works fine for me same cartridge with rolled end melts it's self in barrel at eley they say all there 410 cartridges going to roll ends I won't be buying any more

I will try and load a pic of the melted cartridge I had to use pointed mole grips to pull it out wasn't half stuck in there

Do you have powder scales to check loading, as it may be burning a bit hot or it could be cases are skived too much.

I havnt don't do any home loading wouldn't no were to start 😀
