butchdickason
We had four on the estate, now doubled to eight. Reckon the keeper will be moving them on once they have grown a bit. butchdickason
The Keeper came to our cottage today to catch the Pea hen and her young, my wife was really p----d off as she had been mothering/feeding them since they arrived, anyway we used our fishing landing net, caught mum first go, we then tried to net the chicks, managed to get 3, but the 4th hid and could not be found. Mother and young taken to stable loose box and left to settle in, then we returned to my garden to try for the chick that escaped capture. After about 20 minutes it started to cheep/call but it still took a while to catch, it kept ducking in and out of the hedgerow, anyway all now reunited.
