LucassDouds
Evening all. I've wrote a letter to hand into some farms etc. Would I be alright putting the BASC logo at the bottom? I am a member. Just wanna make sure I aint gonna get sued or anything daft. I got some Vermin Cards made and the guy asked if I was a memeber and put the Logo on them too I just think it draws the eye and makes it look a bit better with it at the bottom lol

David BASC
No problems saying you are a BASC member, but using the logo is a bit of a no no. However, if you get in touch with me and give me your email address I can e mail you a a letter on BASC headed paper confirming you are a member and the insurance you have, which you can print out and use as many times as you like. David David, I work in the construction industry and a lot of specialist trades regularly use a logo provided by the the trade bodies of which they are members on their paperwork to demonstrate their bona fide status. In some cases the public are instructed to look for this as an obligatory requirement - think the Gas Safe" yellow triangle" for example I would assume that the only reason that the BASC would rather that their members did not use the regular BASC logo is that it might appear that the person represented BASC rather than being a member ? If this is the case for how about the BASC could consider producing a "BASC Member" logo which could perhaps include the regular logo along with words " Insured Member " this would allow a shooter to make their bonafide membership/ insurance situation clear without appearing to represent the organisation ? They already do that but for BASC trade members
David BASC
And of course members have a membership card, and with each card comes evidence of insurance , but most landowners prefer something separate in writing from us confirming the cover, we are here to help and it takes about one minute to generate the cover note and email it David
