N. Wales, Fox, HMR

The certificate states the hmr is to be used for vermin control, and the ammunition used may include expanding bullets.

 

As per my #12.

 

Unless you have a condition that specifically says NOT FOX, then the Home Office say Vermin=Fox!

The Table on page 121 of the guide also list HMR and WMR as fox suitable, and .22RF in certain circumstances as Fox suitable.

 

Do you have or do N Wales use AOLQ?

AOLQ is not mentioned on my certificate for hmr and .22LR, I can't speak for other North Wales holders whether they have the condition or not.

Does'nt make sense to me Robbie - I shot a lot of foxes with my hmr prior to my last renewal, and it does a very good job of dispatching them!

 

Here's the really amusing one : all my rifles have target, but my 308 is listed ONLY for deer. So I can't legally shoot foxes with it.

 

EDIT : just had a quick read of my conditions for the 223. It lists fox and vermin. So, once again, technically, I can't shoot munty or CWD with it.
