stuy
Been waiting for the beans to be harvested so had a drive about in the week and found a rape stubble that was getting some pigeon attention, a steady stream of birds came along the wye valley, to mine and mike s decoys . the wind was not ideal , right in our face s that's the only way we could shoot this field with nearby anglers etc.. so placed the decoys 60+yards up front of us and we shot the birds turning in front of us, and coming from behind not ideal but proved successful picked up 96 woodpigeon, 2 carrion crows, 1 jackdaw
JDog
Good. What were the pigeons feeding on, presumably not the regrowth?

stuy
This particular field suffers from flooding , and the middle section was redrilled with wheat , but the birds I observed during the week weren't on the wheat stubble but on the rape which been turned over in various places, probably some seed been turned over , not a grate deal of weeds are there
