Reloading and load development tuition

Recommended Posts

Precision Rifle Shooting Load Development Training.

On Sunday a client came to me for a day of reloading and load development training. After multiple chats and messages I put a customised programme together to ensure his needs were met.

It was an action packed day of: scope setup, barrel break in, zeroing, reloading tuition (die setup, use of bushings, neck tension measurement and observations, Quickload application, full OCW tests with 2 different bullets and suitable powder, target analysis (node identification, stability and bracketing), followed by OAL tuning of both OCW loads.

Craig and I had a great time and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed his company. He's a great guy with an attitude that is conducive to accurate shooting.

His rifle was built by Alan Maughan of https://www.facebook.com/alanmaughancustom/. It's an RPA action with a 1:8.5 Krieger barrel chambered in 6.5x47 in an AI stock. I did the shooting for control purposes and although the trigger was over twice the weight I have mine set at the gun shot very well and has a lot more potential to offer. Every gun that Alan has built so far has performed superbly!

Here are some photos of how we got on:

If anyone is interested in learning how to reload, develop and optimum charge (OCW)/ high accuracy stable load, setup and use different reloading tools and master different processes feel free to contact me at:

Cheers,

Si
