AYA No.3 Or Yeoman

I bought a 1965 AYA non ejector from a friend. I shoot well with it and enjoy handling it. It wasn't expensive - he told me it was a No3 but was wondering if it is actually a Yeoman. I'm not worried either way. Despite having the original case colour hardening still in place after 51 years, it does have a little pitting in the chambers. Only a little - but is it worth getting checked out?

The last picture is of the original choke markings - I know that could have been altered, but can anyone make sense of what the original choking was. The gun seems to have seen little use so I wouldn't be surprised it it still has the original choking.

Yoeman had no engraving and were marked Yoeman making your gun a No3. It is 1965 and chokes are 18 = Half and 17.4 is Full I think!

Thank you for that . I'll have the choking checked but it certainly hits like half and full! A little easing may well be in order.

Just under half and full, but it depends on the cartridge and pattern as to the true choke the gun cart combo throws. Pattern it on some paper and see what it's throwing out.

Good advice. Thanks.
