timb
My son is well into his wildlife, and wants a night vision monocular for Christmas so he can watch the badgers and foxes at night in the woods. The going rate seems to be around £150 - £200. Anybody got some good tips on what to look for please? Or which model is best ? Thanks. mick miller
If you can afford a little more some of the newer pulsar units are pretty good. Secondhand would be the way to go. I use an ancient pulsar monocular, one of the first ones they sold, and with a TR38 attached to it can see stuff a good 300 yards out but the detail is really lacking. Under a 100 yards is pretty good though. The newer models are way better than this.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, as mick said if new yukon and pulsar have a 3 year warranty, digital would be my choice.
1066
Aldi do one on offer now and again: I bought one three or four years ago and it's still working well. The one I have has an A/V take-off so could plug it into my old Sony camcorder. I've also mounted it on a rifle and works well.
