Adge Cutler
Local recorders thrilled to have one of these sighted in these parts very close in the Berkeley vale.. Caught a glimpse of it in a village near Wotton under Edge a couple of days ago First I've seen in Gloucestershire since the summer of 76 when we had one in the garden for a couple of weeks. Incredible looking bird Edited October 22, 2016 by Adge Cutler

Andra
Many years ago there was sightings of hoopoes on west coast of Scotland (Irvine). Never seen any in the UK myself, there was loads of them a couple of years back around the O Pinhal clay ground in the algarve, lovely birds with their mohicans lol
UKPoacher
We have them in our garden every summer. Last year there was a breeding pair and had three chicks all scratting for insects and seeds below the blue spruce. Comical looking things. My wife calls them cartoon birds.
