Roughshot
I am looking for a 12g semi for roughshooting and foxes. Nothing fancy just reliable. Asked my local dealer and he warned me of all the "cheap turks" hatson and Webley&scott saying I would be better with a second hand berreta. I thought second hand semi autos were dangerous territory? He also mentioned a new gun he had just got in a zeffer (spelling?) said he would try it out and give me a ring during the week. Anyone heard of them ?Let you know what he reckons. My dealer is a straight talker who knows his guns so Im sure he will let me know exactly what he thinks of it cheers
Oly
Never heard of that one mate. :( Make sure he's not just trying to sell you something he wants to sell you. He may seem straight enough but at the end of the day he's still trying to get the most amount of money out of you as he can. Nowt wrong with escorts mind, many on here have them and are excellent value for money. Mine has stood me in good stead for a fair while now, kills everything I point it at and has never failed me. Secondhand semi's aren't dangerous territory either, like all guns you just need to know what your looking at.
beatingisbest
I would go for a Beretta 301/302/303 if i was after a semi
Roughshot
Cheers I quite fancied a Hatson or Webley. Although apparently they are the same gun? Hes getting a few of the 800 series Webleys in next month as they are proving popular and he has had several people ring up looking them I read on an earlier thread that berreta mobile chokes fitted the hatson will they also fitt a Webley? From what I know they aren't the same gun. I use Beretta Mobile chokes in my escort and the fit and patterening is much better. There has been a couple of posts on here about the Webley's falling to bits...do some searching around on here and you should find it. JohnGalway
Baikal MP-153 Always cycles anything I put in it. Built like a tank, expected to outlive me by centuries.
Evil Elvis
Unless you are muscle bound, steer clear of the remmy 1100, i have one, they weigh a ton!!!! :(
trakker01
try a s/h franchi, i have one from the late 70's, (it must of done 1000's of carts) it cycles great, brings down all it faces....& there exellent value & quality, £150/200 will get a good un..well made! not too heavy & a good looker. on a recent bore measure ,its hardly worn!! gotta admit i wasn't too sure at first, but i.m.o ........ i'd recommend one.
