30-6
What is the difference between 850nm and 950nm in IR led's and what is the difference between nightmaster 400 and venom strike torch ? To be used with the latest photon - got to get into this NV lark. Rats with an AA s200 and possibly rimfires later on. Cheers
rangey
the 850nm is the more powerfull of the 2 but I do find the odd fox does notice the glow from the torch head.the 950nm is not as powerfull and hardly any glow from the head,so I just swop them around when I need to... oldypigeonpopper
hello, you do not need to spend that much money on a I/R torch for a photon be it rats/rabbits or if you go FAC, i have 2 photon set ups 1 for ratting with a .22 FX vermy and standard T20 I/R torch good to 100 yards and my FAC CZ 455 .22 L/R with the new TR 38, both torches have a 2 X doubler lens fitted, you do not need to use on board I/R so saves battery life, also a front cap with a 25 mm cut hole will give a much better clarity. andy at ludicrous lumins .co.uk sells the above T torches
