Cyber
I managed to get hold of this RWS 500 stock for my Ranger (Thanks to Merlyn) as I always worry I will damage the walnut one in the field. I didn't like the standard green atall so went for the SWAT style lol and sprayed it black. Going to get a bipod for this stock aswell (before anyone notices, the studs are not screwed in all the way in the pics as these are what I hung it by to spray. Its got a Bisley adjustable butt plate on that I polished using autosol when I had filed it down to the right size. What you think..... Im loving it!!!:D:D:D
naddan28
practical modification that one cyber, is the new stock lighter too?
Cyber
yeah, it is a little lighter. I need a smaller stock screw though as there is less of a gap than on the standard stock. I know I could use a spacer but would rather use a smaller screw. Anyone know where I could source one??

lurcherboy
As a RWS owner with the green stock I am jealous Looks good mate LB
Cyber
lol, it wasn't difficult to do. I just used matt super primer, and then matt super paint. All bought from B n Q. I think the hardest part was bloody polishing the alloy part of the butt pad which does look the biz. Cheers everyone for your comments and no, it won't make me shoot better!! lol. I won't be as bothered when out in the field though as it can be touched up easily if it gets scratched.
tulkyuk
Spray some laquer over the top of the spray paint to seal it in better and to stop any coming off when you use it. apart from that it looks the dogs dangly bits mate. Paul
Cyber
Ive tried that and it looked ****. I used matt laquer and it still went to shiny. the paint has gone rock solid anyway and will be easier to touch up if it gets scratched. kipper
Good point cyber Im gelous. What do you think to the performance of the air ranger.? I have got a slot to fill for FAC air rifle .22 I like the look of the air ranger and the spec's of it. only thing that puts me off it is the price . I think i might end up with a AAS410 Xtra. I love my S410k. Kipper
Cyber
I think the performance is definately up there with the best of them. It really is pellet on pellet (fingernail groups at 30 yards) They are supposed to be AWESOME in FAC. I would love to try one. If and when I get my FAC I will definately be upping the power on this one or buying another at FAC! Got two bunnies with it this evening. Hoping to get quite a few on saturday morning on the new permission hehe.

Cyber
Cheers John. I really like it. The polished butt pad just adds a little bit of class aswell hehe. I still prefer the Walnut stock but I don't want to scratch or dent that lol
