bobby t
just read the report on the world sporting and im sure cat can tell me. why does it seem that digweed and fualds never shoot in the england team, also obviously faulds won a gold with england but is he in the england sporting squad. if not why these are clearly the best sporting shooters in the country? Catamong
bobby, They have both shot in the England Team in the past, but they simply can't be bothered nowadays. To make the Team you have to shoot 6 selection shoots and put your best 4 scores in, and whilst both of them will usually shoot the English Open, which is one of the selection shoots, the others fall on dates when they both have more potentially lucrative events to go to, often overseas. Don't forget, to you and I it's a hobby, I don't earn my living from it, but to them, it's a business, so they will go where the money is. You get very little financial reward for shooting for England, I think I got a cheque for £120 last September to cover the cost of a new team vest, (that cost £60), 2 nights hotel accommodation, petrol to god knows where in the Welsh mountains, cartridges and drinks at the bar..!! Cat. George had a nice little $30K result based on a $5k ante a couple of weeks ago at the World All Round Championship. He's the MAN.. A marathon in shooting terms by the look of the schedule and results. http://elmfork.com/world_all_around/World%...nd%20Scores.pdf
Mungler
He is the man machine. He must see and shoot clays in his sleep.
