mry716
Pop into a Car Body Spray Shop with a jam jar (with a lid) and ask for a drop of Panel Wipe. Its the de greaser they use before spraying. harmless to 99% of things but perfect for cleaning clothes with grease or tar or ink and also for removing labels and glue residue. You can get an aerosol of the proper stuff but why spend a fiver when a quid will do esp for something better.
gibby
Can it be used on the blueing? Gibby
mry716
Definitely. It is one of the least harmful yet most useful chemicals I have ever used. I always have a gallon can in the workshop for use every other day for decreasing or stain removal and at around £12 a gal it is cheap enough to be 'slap happy' with it. It is also perfect for cleaning freshly sanded woodwork before the new finish goes on.
Peter_HMR
Used warm water and fairy liquid to get mine off didnt do any damage just make sure to wash all the suds off completely and keep it out of the action and leave it in the hotpress over night then plenty of oil. lurcherboy
A £1-99 can of brake cleaner it shifts everything but do you really need it? I ask because I have used camo tape before and on removal it left no residue LB
BSA Shaun
I think there are different types of camo tape LB. There are no residue varieties and sticky as hell ones
