Singo9990
I've got a second generation f3 sporter (grey/bronze action) . The forend has developed a small amount of play, about a couple of millimetre but just enough to be annoying, Somebody an another forum suggested they should have arubber grommet but didn't elaborate, do any of th PW faithful have any experience or ideas around this please. Thanks chris
figgy
Have a look online for a exploded diagram it may show it. Failing that a call to the importer will soon sort it out for you.

Dibs
Long time since I owned but but yes re the rubber grommet. If you remove the fore end and look inside at the metal work there is a very small hole and I mean small right at the end of the plate. That hold should have a small rubber grommet in it. Without it the Forend can have some play in it. If you speak with Blaser you used to be able to get them as spares and this will solve the problem. Dibs
If you post a pic of the inside metalwork I'll tell you exactly where it is. Had the same problem with mine and it will be this little rubber. Some are ok without it there and some are not - that's why it's there and is susceptible to falling out over time. Blaser sent me a length of it and you just push it in cut it off and sorted.
CharlesP
Here's a photo, albeit a later (2016) F3. The rubber thingy is the round bit. If you give Ian Mulliner a call he will undoubtedly be able to help as he is the official Blaser warranty and service chap. figgy
That's some very poor design from the Germans. They should hang there heads in shame, bodging a poor design and fit with bits of rubber. I'd put some silicone in the degreased hole, leave it proud and when cured try it on the gun. Other way would be a tap washer, take the forend to a plumbers merchant and get a tap washer to fit it. Here you go enough for a lifetime for a couple of your English shekels https://rubberstock.com/profiles/solid-rubber-profiles/round-cord.html Edited February 6, 2017 by figgy
Gordon R
That's some very poor design from the Germans. They should hang there heads in shame, bodging a poor design and fit with bits of rubber. Their lofty reputation means that they can get away with an appalling design. CharlesP
I'm not convinced that a blob of silicone would constitute anything other than a bodge. And a tap washer? Good grief man, have you seen the size of a tap washer compared to the bit we're talking about?
