Medic1281
I know some of you guys are money men so I'd like to pick your brains! I've got some paper share certs that I'd like to off load. It'll be a one off transaction, and I've no other shares so setting up an account to trade isn't really what I want to do. Does anyone know how I can go about selling these shares, and have any advice or recommendations as to who to use to sell?
chady
I think HSBC still do it over the counter but not 100%. Failing that it's online or over the phone. I use Hargreaves landsfown purely because they don't charge you a monthly fee
termin8r
I'd speak first to the company whose shares they are, followed by your bank. Either, or both, may have cheap share dealing facilities for simple transactions, plus you'll probably not need to jump through hoops to prove to them who you are! AVB
Blimey I had no idea people still held paper certs. I thought most had been converted electronically years ago. Found this for you though. Seems there are still a few companies willing trade through. Watch out for commission though. https://www.lovemoney.com/news/36713/cheapest-ways-to-sell-paper-share-certificates
Medic1281
Thanks, that's the trouble, we haven't dealt for years. Our 25p shares are now £5.85 so I'm looking to move them on!

How many did you buy is the question? Here's hoping you've got a house full 👍🏻
