labstaff
I think it might be a yeoman rather than a number 3 as it has pins rather than screws but I'll happily stand corrected. It looks the same as my yeoman though.

It looks the same as my yeoman though. Hi Labstaff, Thanks for the reply. I was sold it as a No3 and it looks the same as this one https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/aya/side-by-side/12-gauge/3-boxlock-141122115703001 which is listed as a No3 and also pinned? How do I find out for sure please - I don't want to misrepresent it Edited February 19, 2017 by Eyefor
sishyplops
The link you added s for an early no3 that were pinned but crucially has engraving albeit very basic around the action, yours as far as I can see has no engraving and is pinned , I would suggest it's a yeoman, only aya could tell you for sure
Eyefor
It's a Yeoman. Thanks for the clarification and my apologies for the error. I've amended the listing and adjusted the price on Gunwatch. Hopefully that will update here soon. sishyplops
In that condition it wasn't badly priced in the 1st place , seen a darn site worse for a darn site more!!
Eyefor
In that condition it wasn't badly priced in the 1st place , seen a darn site worse for a darn site more!! Thanks but I didn't want to overprice it as it's a Yeoman and not a No3 - so it must now be a bargain for someone!
labstaff
Definitely a bargain in that condition. Good luck with the sale.

nagantino
I am waiting to pickup a similar gun, being sold as a Yeoman. The gun I'm going to buy has a floor plate and similar simple engraving with pins. Would the floor plate make it an AYA No 3?

labstaff
I'm sure my yeoman doesn't look like that. I'll have a look in my cabinet in the morning. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along and help you out.
