Optilock base to ring screws

I haven't got the base or the screw unfortunately, apart from what's on my rifle.

I do have a pair of rings though and an m5 x 0.8 is very very close, if not correct. I can't comment on the head size but I'd go for a 10mm long thread (no shoulder so to be correct it's a machine screw).

Hope that gets you out of a hole,so to speak.

If I were you, I'd measure the clearance hole in the underside of the base (diameter and depth) and order screws that will clear it easily AND a bottoming tap m5x0.8 just to tidy the thread in the rings (or alter them very slightly to suit).

I found the thread size by trying an m5 tap in the ring, it screwed in fairly easy with only my fingers but did scrape a tiny amount off as it went. I'd still be 100% confident that the original screw would work fine but I'll leave that up to you.
