tuck1
Hi all, I have a Swanndri bush shirt which I love for winter use, however a few years ago I came across a Swanndri "Stalker" coat, which looked good. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to buy it, and have regretted it ever since! I know Swanndri still make a stalker jacket, called stalker extreme, which has a waterproof membrane inside, however, I would like to find the old model one. Any ideas? I guess I'm looking for a shop with old stock, or one second hand, I've trawled the net to no avail, but I would like to see if I can find one. Alternatively, does anyone have the new model which they can give me a little "review" on? Does it rustle? How's the waterproofing? Etc, etc. For anyone who's interested, the bush shirts are excellent (although you do look like a monk) and I have a crusher hat which is excellent in the rain. The missus thinks I should embrace the millenium age and buy a Gore tex type thing and maybe she's right. But wool is quiet and I'm a bit of an old stick in the mud. So any suggestions would be most welcome. I thank you. Tuck Hope this is in the right section - feel free to move it if not - ta!

A.Y
look at denewear.co.uk they supply swandri clothing, looks like you are in luck the stalker jacket is new and improved! what size are you looking for?
tuck1
That's the problem - new and improved sounds to me like loud and rustling! The old one had no lining and a hood attached. And it wasn't £199. That thing costs more than my house!
M ROBSON
Have a look at Bushwear. Mark.
tuck1
Must be missing something. Can't see an old style stalker there.
Dunkield
Try this one maybe?
tuck1
That's the one Stuart. Does it rustle like a paper bag though, or is it quiet like a barn owl's wing?
Dunkield
I couldn't tell you tuck, I just knew I had seen them somewhere - I kind of 'know' Ian so when I was browsing his site and saw what you were after. And no I don't get any discount
A.Y
i do have a stalker coat in the cupboard some where, it is the old style without the newfangled water/wind proof lining, i think it is the xxl size which i think is 44 to 46 inch chest. it is surplus to requirements now because i have so many jackets, if its the right size and youre interested we could sort a deal out?? tuck1
That's a very kind offer A.Y. Unfortunately its a bit big - my Swannie is an XL and drowns me a little bit, although it's OK to live with the sleeves are a bit long for shooting. Thanks though. If you want to PM me, and let me know what you want for it, I have a friend who may be interested.
M ROBSON
Save yourself £50 on a new one here, http://www.countryclothingwarehouse.co.uk/...g/swanndri.html I've always liked the look of the bush shirt, especially the one with the full length zip. I'm going to wait till after the game fair though, in case there's any bargains going. Mark.
