MrDaveO84
Morning all, does anyone own a macc tec mod and if so what are they like? I've always used a tec mods personally but I've bought a new Mauser rifle and these are the mods that can come in a package deal, it's going on a 270. Can't seem to find much about them, couple of videos on YouTube and that's it
MrDaveO84
Thanks fister, that's the sort of review I'm looking for. Very true about not getting it all. I'm either looking at one of these or another atec. A friend recommended an mae t12 and they look nice but pretty pricey
shootgun
I was in the same situation couple of weeks ago, but i went for a Sauer Titanium Pro, first because is magnum caliber rated, and second because it was part of the deal i made with rifle, scope and all the bits and bobs. I hope the macc tec works well for you.
shootgun
the Sauer titanium pro is great but gets very hot very quickly and although vety suitable for hunting, not so great for more than 2 shots as it profuces a lot of mirage Have you used one? Is for hunting only, except when i'll get to zero my new rifle...
mick miller
The T12 has possibly the best attenuation of noise but by christ is it heavy. I have one on the stalking rifle and I'm considering switching to one from Barton Gunworks (Macc Tecc) to reduce weight.
Breastman
The plus you get with the small length and weight (mainly due to the lack of expansion chamber), you get as a minus on the sound deadening. I have one on a rifle that cannot accept a Reflex/over-barrel type moderator. It does the job but not as quiet as most.
