Dibs85
Hi chaps, Ignoring the obvious steps to mounting a scope, how do you set your elevation? ie. Do you find the mid point of the adjustment range and start from there. or Adjust the elevation down to almost minimum and shim the scope, to accept longer range adjustments? I would be interested to hear people thoughts? I know this applies to windage too, but i don't plan on shooting in any hurricanes!! 243deer
Never had to shim a hunting scope yet so midway for me.
steve_b_wales
I have always set the windage and elevation 'clicks' on the scope to half way before attempting to zero it.
