Mungler
Well, as I said it's a slick operation..... In under a week they have written to my wife to give notification of prosecution, she wrote back to grass me up as the driver, they then wrote to me to, I responded to confirm I was the driver and then today they write and say: 3 points and £60 fine. Just another bit of road tax really. I have to say I am very impressed with the speed of service. I bet there is not another government department or agency that turns stuff round this quick. On the whole quite pleased - it's a miracle that my license has otherwise remained clean for the last 7 or 8 years and 3 points represents overdue tax
Dunkield
my license has otherwise remained clean for the last 7 or 8 years and 3 points is a necessary casualty of driving. I which case you were well overdue! That is a result :
Dunkield
3 points and a £60 fine I would say. Do I win a prize?
Axe
I would say you got away with that one.
Dr W
Bet you're glad your foot hadn't twitched on the accelerator and pushed you up to 96mph might have been a bit different.
pin
Dodged a bullet there, could have gone either way. It is a tax, duly paid. End of
SNAKEBITE
Not really a "tax" is it? It is a fine, given to someone as a punishment for breaking the law. Well dodged Mungler but have you learnt your lesson?
Mungler
It's a tax pure and simple. If it were a punishment or a concern to correct my driving then where are the offers of driver rehabilitation etc?
SNAKEBITE
Fair point. I'd have made you take your test again!
