mickyh
Would anyone know the 'O' ring size for the non return valve on one of these Stirrup pumps please. I dont need the actual valve or any other o rings that sell together for £20 plus. Just the 10p one ! The pump still works so I'd like the new part before I strip it down. Many thanks. mickyh
Turns out to be a FX Pump. BS005 O Ring seems to be a perfect fit. At 18 pence each I'm a happy bunny. Pump now works like new again,10 minute job ! I hope this helps someone else save on a service. These pumps really are very simple inside. mickyh
hello, would be good to put where purchased as sure the are others on here with same pumpAny Bearing shop or place where you get Nuts and Bolts stock these things.Ebay do 10 packs for a couple of quid. Remember Gun Manufacturers use what are available on the Market, they do not design o rings for their Guns ! They never want you to know these things cost coppers, or you would never spend £20 + on their Seal Kits. Nitrol are common o rings Viton are harder and take more heat for inlet valves etc. Mr Google is your friend here for working out sizes etc. Edited August 19, 2017 by mickyh
rovercoupe
It is sometimes a bit harder to find the right one, there is hardness to contend with and some rings are poor quality and under pressure split down the middle but on the whole it is allways cheaper to research and buy good quality generic rings. Just make sure you write on the packet what they are for, i have a huge bag of rings and have no idea what most of them are for now!
mickyh
Just out of interest, are the very very thin o rings (aprox. 20mm id and about 0.7 thickness) only dust seals ? They look to thin to hold any type of pressure. Didn't look worth changing them. Thanks
