Wasabi
So.... We have an old vitara on our shoot which we want to attach a spin feeder to the back of. I thought it ideal if we used the power from the rear wiper motor, so took it out tonight. There were three wires going to the motor. A constant live, a switched live controlled by the swith on the indicator stalk and then another wire. Is this a neutral? The two lives only spark when touched against the car body, not this third wire. I presume to wire the spinner we use the switched live and the either the other "neutral" wire or run the spinner neutral wire to the body of the car. Any ideas? Thanks! Kev1gun
Easy peasy, one wire of your spinner to earth/body and the other to your switched live, if it turns the wrong way just reverse the wires/polarity.
walshie
As above. I wouldn't have thought the 3rd wire was a neutral or it would spark when you put the positive to it. Possibly the wire to "park" the wiper.
39TDS
Maybe it did spark until you blew the fuse to it.
