Hello! I've been given a set of barrels in very poor condition but you can just make out James Wilson goodramgate york on the rib, google throws up nothing just wondered if the PW font of knowledge could shed any light on them?

Edit; feel a bit of a fool I've just checked them and it's James WILSON not Taylor! What a numpty!

I am not particularly up to speed on this but research can maybe be done via the local library? Census and past local business records etc....worth a try?

Further to this James Wilson, was at 66, Goodramgate York c1874 then at 47, Goodramgate c1878-1926, then traded as James Wilson & Son c1928- 1942 he was also listed at Market Place Richmond c1890-1894
