I've been given a set of barrels in very poor condition but you can just make out James Wilson goodramgate york on the rib, google throws up nothing just wondered if the PW font of knowledge could shed any light on them? Thankyou! Edit; feel a bit of a fool I've just checked them and it's James WILSON not Taylor! What a numpty! A few gunsmiths have operated in Goodramgate but have not come across that name.Could be an ironmonger perhaps...... Always interesting to try and find the history tho` ! Further to this James Wilson, was at 66, Goodramgate York c1874 then at 47, Goodramgate c1878-1926, then traded as James Wilson & Son c1928- 1942 he was also listed at Market Place Richmond c1890-1894 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
