wymberley
1960 screams quality, but "well in proof" would need defining unless you can say, 'barrels as bored and unmarked internally'. Whatever figure anyone comes up with (not a clue), it's probably fair to say that in the current climate it's worth is likely to be more than the prevailing sale price. Stimo22
From what I can make out, this model was similar to the no3, if you are thinking of selling it i have been on the look out for one.
ghilley
Left barrel mesures up as proof stamped right barel has minimum where hardly anything on the bore gauge and 400 e is way better than a number 3 its the predecessor to the number 4 but better looking it has nice shoulders on the action and flats on the stock where the no 3/4 has a slab sided action and a rounded fit on the stock the only thing that probably different to the number 4 is there are no screws holding the two pins in place akin to the 3 but it has nice looking lock screws and engraving disc set strikers gold oval strong ejectors and this is the best bit it weighs in at a lovely 5lb 12 oz.
