Lloyd90
I was considering pillar bedding my rifle and took it apart for a look. Fortunately it appears that CZ have already placed what appear to be similar to pillars in the rifle. However, they are not fixed. I was able to easily push them out with my finger. Will this make any difference? Aside from this the only other difference I can see from the pillars you see online are that the walls of the pillars are quite thin. The ones Ive seen pictures of appear to be fairly thick walled compared to these. Again, would this make a difference? If I was to continue on bedding the gun would it be worthwhile changing them? Devcon bedding the current pillars? Or just get on with bedding the action and leave them as is?
welshwarrior
That's a rudimentary Mauser style spacer to stop over tightening it'll help but won't be as good as a wider bonded pillar.

Thanks Daf, I spoke to a gentleman last night you devcon bedded these spacers into the stock to act as pillars. Obviously this is appealing as I wouldn’t then need to drill out the holes and also get new pillars and try to size them. Would this work as well or new pillars would be much better? Thanks for your advice
activeviii
i did a couple a few months back. turned a poor shooter into a a usable gun. i get the dremal in to open up the holes and sides of action and then do it all after making new 10mm wide pillars. i used aquaglass form brownells. they had it on offer and it was also free postage
welshwarrior
It all depends on the stability of your stock but generally yes the wide pillars isolate the action more from changes in the wood preventing changes
