Has anyone had one recently? 

I’m tempted to “pimp my rifle”. Only worry is it’s only a standard barrel CZ550 not a custom barrel or anything fancy. 

Also is there much difference between their sporter and hunter models? Just appears to be slightly different stock curve on the back end but I’m not sure what difference that would make.

I was tempted once to use one of these stocks on my Tikka T3 Lite, and also on my Howa 1500, but decided against it, mainly because of the cost and also because I'm shooting well with both rifles now, and the stock's would, in my opinion, only improve the look of them.

my opinion, save your money or spend it on glass as that would probably go on your next gun more often than a stock, yes they are multi adjustable but the laminate tends to be heavy, unless you only shoot prone, the synthetic are a pain to bed and they are a marmite stock, if it's the laminate look you like there are cheaper alternatives like Boyds

The wooden stock on my CZ550 has a bit of flex in it so not ideal, I would look at alternatives but there don’t seem to be that many to fit the CZ action in the UK. 

 

Whats the score with ordering a Boyds stock?

Boyd stocks are available for CZ's

Edgar Brother's now import all Boyd's stocks to the UK (unless under $100). I am just waiting to hear back on a price

There is usually a sale run on Boyds sticks where they used to be available from certain dealers in America for $99 which meant they were exempt from certain red tape
