My wifey, bless her was away looking after our Dad. No 1 daughter lost her phone last week and it was recovered and handed in. We needed to pick it up from Beccles. Both my lasses liked the idea of a clay shoot, they hadn't been before, so with HL down the road, we went.

Nice lunch beforehand, the girls were kitted out with ear defenders (free) and wore their sunglasses for eye protection. Lou trapped, J scored and the old man was on fire. For me anyway! Finished with 76/85. Pisssed off I didn't put enough shells in to do the ton. I crunched everything (for me). The lasses enjoyed it and i'm itching for them to tell mum they want to shoot.

Here's the card. Bloody loved it, great ground, friendly people and **** easy targets! All the best.

Been told its a great ground. What happened on stand 5 then confetti cartridges ??

:good: Tis a great place. We scooted round and shot where there was a hole, as there was a lot of peops on a charity shoot. The mother bird for me was this incoming job from a long way off, i'm sure i missed over the top and needed some choke. There is always a bogey for me. Shame it didn't have wings. I thought it was a bloody hard target.

Whitebridges,

If I'd known you were there, I'd have stood back and let you go first. I'm trying to think which long incomer you mean??? It was quite chocker there yesterday and we had to wait for Joe Public on quite a few stands, but hey that's life.

Cat,

You don't think for one minute that John Bidwell is going to let those clays on show yesterday be part of the British Open, he wouldn't be doing his job if he did, there would end up being a 25 way shoot off for the winner.

On a serious note, I read in Pull magazine about Biddy's victory in the Sporting Open and was shocked to hear that he had been suffering from Lukemia for the past three years. I'm told he is doing a great job beating it and that makes his victory even more perfect. Good on you JB.

SS You were there yesterday obviously. Small World, and yes it was very busy. Walked round it three times to shoot 8 empty stands. The target I mean was down the righthand side of the entrance. It was 2? stands up from the bolting rabbit it think. It was launched from a long way off, incoming and dropping at pretty much max range. Wasn't comfortable with them at all :good: very enjoyable - i'll have to get over more often.

ahh that would have been stand 11! a long incomer followed by a loopy right to left!!

think i nailed 6 out of 8 on that stand yesterday!! one of my better stands actually but the incomer was a fair way out. :good:

Sounds like it. You found 'em all right. Hopefully it might be set up the same and i'll go and have another crack.

Glad you posted FG, I was struggling to think whether we had shot that one, but yes i agree with you Whitebridges, that was along way off, and that Right-Left Looper was awkward as well. SO completely understandable that it was your worst stand (You'd never guess I shoot poorly on that one as well :good: )

I must say I enjoyed yesterday as I hadn't shot clays since the Essex Masters, so it was a nice confidence booster especially shooting with an unfamiliar Gun that I had borrowed for the day. If only you could shoot your gun and a trial gun similtaneously to see if one out performs the other, as I have a feeling that I might have had another 10 clays or so if I had used my gun, but will never know.

Must organise trip to High lodge for the PW Massive as good facilities, good sporting stands with lots of variety and good skeet stands.
